RELX devices coil life: advanced edition (2500 mAh)
RELX devices advice for Trinidad, covering coil life, what to look for and where the trade-offs actually sit.
Budget matters in Trinidad, but with relx devices the cheapest option is rarely the one that lasts. The 3.5 ml capacity is a genuinely useful middle ground: enough liquid for a long session without turning the device into a pocket problem.
There is no single best relx devices for everyone in Trinidad, and anyone telling you otherwise is selling something. The build quality on Robust Pro is a step above most of what sits in the same price bracket, and the finish resists the chipping that usually shows after a few months of pocket carry.
Charging over USB-C takes about 89 from empty, and the pass-through means the device can be used while plugged in on the smaller batteries. Two things to check before ordering: the USB-C socket on the base and whether the 0.15 Ω dual mesh coil is the newer generation. Battery behaviour is where the Robust Pro earns its keep: the 1000 mAh cell holds a usable charge for most of a day at 30 and recharges over USB-C.
In Trinidad, availability of the 0.15 Ω dual mesh coil is the practical bottleneck, not the device itself. The standard bore mouthpiece is comfortable over long sessions and resists the condensation that gathers on narrower tips. Comparing this against a 20:80 PG/VG setup shows the difference clearly: one favours flavour, the other favours volume.
Pricing in Trinidad shifts with import duty, so the figures here reflect current TTD rates rather than a fixed list price. Airflow control on the Robust Pro is adjustable enough to move from a warm, restrained draw to something far more open without removing the tank. Vapour production is more than adequate at 30, and pushing beyond that adds heat rather than anything worth carrying.
Replacement coils are widely available, and the 0.15 Ω dual mesh coil is the sensible default to keep in stock. The included spare coils are useful for the first fortnight, after which you will be ordering your own. What surprised us most was how little the 0.15 Ω dual mesh coil changes the draw character compared with the 20:80 PG/VG liquid sitting in the chamber.

Flavour and performance notes
A representative profile is Melon Cucumber: fresh, light, described as clean cucumber under sweet melon. On a 20:80 PG/VG ratio this reads clearly on the first day and holds its character to roughly the 0.15 Ω dual mesh mark before the coil begins to mute it.
Practical considerations in Trinidad
Availability in Trinidad is the factor that decides most outcomes here. Confirm the 0.15 Ω dual mesh and the USB-C are both in stock before committing, and check that the 510 bottom pin matches your existing device if you already own hardware. Duty and TTD rates move, so treat prices as current rather than fixed.
Take the time to get it right the first time; the difference shows up over months of use rather than days.
