Pod Fans RELX devices shortlist (v3)
RELX devices advice for Trinidad, covering versus, what to look for and where the trade-offs actually sit.
Most Trinidad buyers start with a well-known brand name and then discover that fit and coil availability matter far more. In Trinidad, availability of the 0.15 Ω dual mesh coil is the practical bottleneck, not the device itself.
Local availability in Trinidad shapes the practical answer more than the marketing does. The 2.5 ml capacity is a genuinely useful middle ground: enough liquid for a long session without turning the device into a pocket problem.
Materials are unremarkable on paper and feel reassuringly solid in the hand, with no flex in the body at all. The instruction booklet is thin, but the diagrams are clear enough that most people set the device up without further help. Flavour tracking stays consistent from the first day to roughly the 0.15 Ω dual mesh mark before the profile flattens and a swap makes sense.
Two things to check before ordering: the Micro-USB socket on the base and whether the 0.15 Ω dual mesh coil is the newer generation. Battery behaviour is where the AEKU Slim earns its keep: the 2500 mAh cell holds a usable charge for most of a day at 40 and recharges over Micro-USB. We would pair the AEKU Slim with a 65:35 PG/VG liquid, which is where the balance between throat hit and cloud density sits most comfortably.
Worth noting that the 510 bottom pin takes a small amount of care to keep clean, which we cover in the maintenance section below. For pod fans, the learning curve is shorter than the specification list suggests, and daily use is straightforward from the first charge. If you take one thing from this page, make it the coil compatibility check. A device that needs a coil you cannot source locally becomes an expensive ornament within a month.
Expect roughly 1180 full puffs from a charge at 6 mg/ml, based on average session length in our testing. Replacement coils are widely available, and the 0.15 Ω dual mesh coil is the sensible default to keep in stock. The included spare coils are useful for the first fortnight, after which you will be ordering your own.
Comparing this against a 65:35 PG/VG setup shows the difference clearly: one favours flavour, the other favours volume. Flavour and performance notes
A representative profile is Peach Blossom: sweet, delicate, described as soft white peach with a floral edge. On a 65:35 PG/VG ratio this reads clearly on the first day and holds its character to roughly the 0.15 Ω dual mesh mark before the coil begins to mute it.
Practical considerations in Trinidad
Availability in Trinidad is the factor that decides most outcomes here. Confirm the 0.15 Ω dual mesh and the Micro-USB are both in stock before committing, and check that the 510 bottom pin matches your existing device if you already own hardware. Duty and TTD rates move, so treat prices as current rather than fixed.
If any of the above addresses what you were trying to solve, the rest of the pages in this section cover it in more detail.
