noob guide to RELX devices in Trinidad: Noob
RELX devices advice for Trinidad, covering beginner guide, what to look for and where the trade-offs actually sit.
Local availability in Trinidad shapes the practical answer more than the marketing does. The build quality on Geekvape Aegis is a step above most of what sits in the same price bracket, and the finish resists the chipping that usually shows after a few months of pocket carry.
The Trinidad market for relx devices has grown steadily, and the choice on offer now is genuinely broad. The narrow bore mouthpiece is comfortable over long sessions and resists the condensation that gathers on narrower tips.
Replacement coils are widely available, and the 0.15 Ω dual mesh coil is the sensible default to keep in stock. The included spare coils are useful for the first fortnight, after which you will be ordering your own. What surprised us most was how little the 0.15 Ω dual mesh coil changes the draw character compared with the 20:80 PG/VG liquid sitting in the chamber.
Vapour production is more than adequate at 120, and pushing beyond that adds heat rather than anything worth carrying. Materials are unremarkable on paper and feel reassuringly solid in the hand, with no flex in the body at all. The instruction booklet is thin, but the diagrams are clear enough that most people set the device up without further help.
The Forest Green finish hides fingerprints far better than the gloss options, which matters more than it sounds on a device handled daily. Worth noting that the Q-Plus takes a small amount of care to keep clean, which we cover in the maintenance section below. For beginners, the learning curve is shorter than the specification list suggests, and daily use is straightforward from the first charge.
Battery behaviour is where the Geekvape Aegis earns its keep: the 1000 mAh cell holds a usable charge for most of a day at 120 and recharges over USB-C. If you take one thing from this page, make it the coil compatibility check. A device that needs a coil you cannot source locally becomes an expensive ornament within a month. The throat hit is noticeably firmer than a 20:80 PG/VG blend, so if you prefer a smoother draw, mix accordingly.
The 6.5 ml capacity is a genuinely useful middle ground: enough liquid for a long session without turning the device into a pocket problem. We would pair the Geekvape Aegis with a 20:80 PG/VG liquid, which is where the balance between throat hit and cloud density sits most comfortably. The throat hit is noticeably firmer than a 20:80 PG/VG blend, so if you prefer a smoother draw, mix accordingly.

Flavour and performance notes
A representative profile is Strawberry Cream: creamy, sweet, described as smooth strawberry custard with a light dairy note. On a 20:80 PG/VG ratio this reads clearly on the first day and holds its character to roughly the 0.15 Ω dual mesh mark before the coil begins to mute it.
Practical considerations in Trinidad
Availability in Trinidad is the factor that decides most outcomes here. Confirm the 0.15 Ω dual mesh and the USB-C are both in stock before committing, and check that the Q-Plus matches your existing device if you already own hardware. Duty and TTD rates move, so treat prices as current rather than fixed.
