Pod Fans guide to RELX devices (practical) (IQOS III)
RELX devices advice for Trinidad, covering budget options, what to look for and where the trade-offs actually sit.
Search results for relx devices in Trinidad are crowded, which is why this page focuses on what actually changes the experience. The wide bore mouthpiece is comfortable over long sessions and resists the condensation that gathers on narrower tips.
Budget matters in Trinidad, but with relx devices the cheapest option is rarely the one that lasts. Vapour production is more than adequate at 50, and pushing beyond that adds heat rather than anything worth carrying.
The wide bore mouthpiece is comfortable over long sessions and resists the condensation that gathers on narrower tips. Comparing this against a 30:70 PG/VG setup shows the difference clearly: one favours flavour, the other favours volume. The 5.0 ml capacity is a genuinely useful middle ground: enough liquid for a long session without turning the device into a pocket problem.
The Deep Purple finish hides fingerprints far better than the gloss options, which matters more than it sounds on a device handled daily. Worth noting that the magnetic contact takes a small amount of care to keep clean, which we cover in the maintenance section below. For pod fans, the learning curve is shorter than the specification list suggests, and daily use is straightforward from the first charge.
Delivery across Trinidad is typically two to four working days with tracked dispatch, and returns are straightforward within the standard window. The build quality on Uwell Calibre is a step above most of what sits in the same price bracket, and the finish resists the chipping that usually shows after a few months of pocket carry. Build quality is the quiet differentiator here, with tight seams and a connector that has not loosened after repeated removal.
Replacement coils are widely available, and the 1.4 Ω mesh coil is the sensible default to keep in stock. The included spare coils are useful for the first fortnight, after which you will be ordering your own. What surprised us most was how little the 1.4 Ω mesh coil changes the draw character compared with the 30:70 PG/VG liquid sitting in the chamber.
Charging over Micro-USB takes about 57 from empty, and the pass-through means the device can be used while plugged in on the smaller batteries. Two things to check before ordering: the Micro-USB socket on the base and whether the 1.4 Ω mesh coil is the newer generation. For pod fans, the learning curve is shorter than the specification list suggests, and daily use is straightforward from the first charge.

Flavour and performance notes
A representative profile is Peach Blossom: sweet, delicate, described as soft white peach with a floral edge. On a 30:70 PG/VG ratio this reads clearly on the first day and holds its character to roughly the 1.4 Ω mesh mark before the coil begins to mute it.
Practical considerations in Trinidad
Availability in Trinidad is the factor that decides most outcomes here. Confirm the 1.4 Ω mesh and the Micro-USB are both in stock before committing, and check that the magnetic contact matches your existing device if you already own hardware. Duty and TTD rates move, so treat prices as current rather than fixed.
