RELX devices buying guide for Trinidad (50 W)
RELX devices advice for Trinidad, covering gift ideas, what to look for and where the trade-offs actually sit.
Budget matters in Trinidad, but with relx devices the cheapest option is rarely the one that lasts. Battery behaviour is where the Asvape Minikit earns its keep: the 1500 mAh cell holds a usable charge for most of a day at 100 and recharges over Micro-USB.
Budget matters in Trinidad, but with relx devices the cheapest option is rarely the one that lasts. The throat hit is noticeably firmer than a 30:70 PG/VG blend, so if you prefer a smoother draw, mix accordingly.
Airflow control on the Asvape Minikit is adjustable enough to move from a warm, restrained draw to something far more open without removing the tank. Vapour production is more than adequate at 100, and pushing beyond that adds heat rather than anything worth carrying. Materials are unremarkable on paper and feel reassuringly solid in the hand, with no flex in the body at all.
If you take one thing from this page, make it the coil compatibility check. A device that needs a coil you cannot source locally becomes an expensive ornament within a month. The throat hit is noticeably firmer than a 30:70 PG/VG blend, so if you prefer a smoother draw, mix accordingly. Pricing in Trinidad shifts with import duty, so the figures here reflect current TTD rates rather than a fixed list price.
The build quality on Asvape Minikit is a step above most of what sits in the same price bracket, and the finish resists the chipping that usually shows after a few months of pocket carry. Build quality is the quiet differentiator here, with tight seams and a connector that has not loosened after repeated removal. Charging over Micro-USB takes about 86 from empty, and the pass-through means the device can be used while plugged in on the smaller batteries.
The Champagne Gold finish hides fingerprints far better than the gloss options, which matters more than it sounds on a device handled daily. Worth noting that the 510-X takes a small amount of care to keep clean, which we cover in the maintenance section below. For flavour seekers, the learning curve is shorter than the specification list suggests, and daily use is straightforward from the first charge.

Flavour and performance notes
A representative profile is Blue Raspberry Frost: sweet, tangy, described as sharp blue raspberry with a long cold finish. On a 30:70 PG/VG ratio this reads clearly on the first day and holds its character to roughly the 1.4 Ω mesh mark before the coil begins to mute it.
Practical considerations in Trinidad
Availability in Trinidad is the factor that decides most outcomes here. Confirm the 1.4 Ω mesh and the Micro-USB are both in stock before committing, and check that the 510-X matches your existing device if you already own hardware. Duty and TTD rates move, so treat prices as current rather than fixed.
Our advice is to order one, use it for a fortnight, and only then decide whether to stock up.
