Budget Shoppers guide to RELX devices (rechargeable)

RELX devices advice for Trinidad, covering starter kits, what to look for and where the trade-offs actually sit.

Finding the right relx devices in Trinidad is easier than most catalogues make it sound. Replacement coils are widely available, and the 1.0 Ω mesh coil is the sensible default to keep in stock.

Finding the right relx devices in Trinidad is easier than most catalogues make it sound. We would pair the Hcigar Akso with a 30:70 PG/VG liquid, which is where the balance between throat hit and cloud density sits most comfortably.

Comparing this against a 30:70 PG/VG setup shows the difference clearly: one favours flavour, the other favours volume. The 8.0 ml capacity is a genuinely useful middle ground: enough liquid for a long session without turning the device into a pocket problem. Expect roughly 654 full puffs from a charge at 12 mg/ml, based on average session length in our testing.

Battery behaviour is where the Hcigar Akso earns its keep: the 3000 mAh cell holds a usable charge for most of a day at 150 and recharges over USB-C. We would pair the Hcigar Akso with a 30:70 PG/VG liquid, which is where the balance between throat hit and cloud density sits most comfortably. Replacement coils are widely available, and the 1.0 Ω mesh coil is the sensible default to keep in stock.

Delivery across Trinidad is typically two to four working days with tracked dispatch, and returns are straightforward within the standard window. The included spare coils are useful for the first fortnight, after which you will be ordering your own. What surprised us most was how little the 1.0 Ω mesh coil changes the draw character compared with the 30:70 PG/VG liquid sitting in the chamber.

Vapour production is more than adequate at 150, and pushing beyond that adds heat rather than anything worth carrying. Materials are unremarkable on paper and feel reassuringly solid in the hand, with no flex in the body at all. Replacement coils are widely available, and the 1.0 Ω mesh coil is the sensible default to keep in stock.

The Sunset Orange finish hides fingerprints far better than the gloss options, which matters more than it sounds on a device handled daily. Worth noting that the 510-X takes a small amount of care to keep clean, which we cover in the maintenance section below. Replacement coils are widely available, and the 1.0 Ω mesh coil is the sensible default to keep in stock.

Build quality is the quiet differentiator here, with tight seams and a connector that has not loosened after repeated removal. Charging over USB-C takes about 45 from empty, and the pass-through means the device can be used while plugged in on the smaller batteries. Two things to check before ordering: the USB-C socket on the base and whether the 1.0 Ω mesh coil is the newer generation.

Specifications

These are the figures that matter day to day, and the ones worth comparing across models.

Flavour and performance notes

A representative profile is Blue Raspberry Frost: sweet, tangy, described as sharp blue raspberry with a long cold finish. On a 30:70 PG/VG ratio this reads clearly on the first day and holds its character to roughly the 1.0 Ω mesh mark before the coil begins to mute it.

Practical considerations in Trinidad

Availability in Trinidad is the factor that decides most outcomes here. Confirm the 1.0 Ω mesh and the USB-C are both in stock before committing, and check that the 510-X matches your existing device if you already own hardware. Duty and TTD rates move, so treat prices as current rather than fixed.
